Job Title: Automotive Service Technician
Location: Oxbow, SK
Base Rate: $30.00 to $47.50 hourly (to be negotiated)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Oxbow Tire Ltd. is seeking a skilled and motivated
Automotive Service Technician
to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining passenger vehicles and light trucks, with a strong emphasis on vehicle electronics. While experience with diesel trucks and commercial transport systems is a valued asset, it is not a requirement. If you’re detail-oriented, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and are passionate about automotive systems, we’d love to hear from you.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic components of passenger vehicles and light trucks.
Conduct inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in automotive systems.
Review work orders and communicate findings to supervisors to determine repair requirements.
Perform road tests to verify proper functionality of repaired systems.
Conduct scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire servicing.
Advise service writers on completed work and recommend future repair or maintenance needs.
Complete detailed documentation of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services performed.
Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices.
Deliver outstanding customer service by explaining repair processes and outcomes.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
Experience with diesel trucks and commercial transport systems is an asset but not required.
Red Seal designation is an asset but not mandatory.
Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification is an asset but not required.
Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Ability to lift over 50 lbs. comfortably.
Pass a drug and alcohol test.
Provide a clean 5-year driving abstract (minor infractions acceptable).
Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
On-Site Role: All work must be performed at our physical location in Oxbow, SK.
Primary focus on passenger vehicles and light trucks, with occasional work on diesel and commercial vehicles.
